Setting Up Camp

An Old Shepherd`s Hut

We are so excited to have a lovely old shepherds hut arriving for the summer.
The hut dates from the late 19th century, and has recently undergone a gentle restoration.

Taskers of Andover made the hut and being tin clad, has survived the last century well. Much of the hut is original and will make a beautiful and romantic retreat by our stream.

Happy New Year 2013

Happy New Year to you all.

It is an exciting New Year for us here.
Having gained a small parcel of land next to the house in December 2012 we have embarked upon clearing over 30 years of undergrowth!  Hopefully, by the end of the summer, we will have had some bookings from a few happy campers.

I hope to keep a record of our progress here and upload 'before and after' photos.
We have found it is always worth while doing that!

This photo was taken in January 2013.
As you can see, impenetrable!
