Spring 2014

The winter has been much kinder this year, and we have achieved a great deal of hedge laying and general tree felling.

The storms did not hit us hard, as we are so well sheltered, and we had far less rain than last Christmas, when Dulverton actually flooded.  The safari shower tent survived the hurricaine too!

The Shepherds Hut comes out of storage this month, and we are looking forward to it sitting in a new position this summer.

The Wild Meadow is available for a limited period over the summer, for groups to exclusively book a field to themselves.

At last the grass grew and the weather got warmer.

The pitches are looking fantastic, and the picnic benches arrived.
On Friday we had the gentleman arrive from the Camping and Caravaning Club....waiting with baited breath we were thrilled to be told we had become an exempted site.

We are now officially a campsite!

Happy New Year 2013

Happy New Year to you all.

It is an exciting New Year for us here.
Having gained a small parcel of land next to the house in December 2012 we have embarked upon clearing over 30 years of undergrowth!  Hopefully, by the end of the summer, we will have had some bookings from a few happy campers.

I hope to keep a record of our progress here and upload 'before and after' photos.
We have found it is always worth while doing that!

This photo was taken in January 2013.
As you can see, impenetrable!
